bahh.. i went for surgery to remove 2 left wisdom teeth. I did not realise I have a total of 4 wisdom teeth until the surgeon showed me the X Ray!! I only know the bottom 2 are giving me problem.. so I went ahead to remove the left side first. ahhh.. i think i swallowed like 1 litre of blood during the surgery hahaha but the surgeon is skilful.. seriously! THey stopped bleeding on the 2nd day.. just numbness and swell at my left cheek. Will be returning for review next saturday and take out another 2 right wisdom teeth. Total damange? At least 3.6K poorer. Having to face this alone is so oueerrk.. went to clinic alone home alone.. sigh. And I can't really open my mouth yet, my lips are cracking and the sides are torn from all the pulling and tilting but will heal soon! Just hope that after this, i will not have any teeth problem :)

I'm not going to lie and say it will be easy. Long distance relationships are not for the faint-hearted. The good news is if you make it through this, you can make it through anything. Don't let yourself forget this when you're feeling down. To help keep your mind off of the distance and time apart try a few of these ideas.

1) Set At Least Three Future Dates When You Will See Each Other Next
Use those as mini stepping-stones. Instead of focusing on how long he will be away, you can focus on the fact you only have so many days to see him again.

2) Try To Keep In Some Form Of Daily Contact
Absence doesn't always make the heart grow fonder. Make sure you're both real to each other by keeping in contact about your day-to-day life.

hmmmm. Why must my things in my life are always so.. extraordinary. SIGH..... can't i just have a simple life, simple job, simple event and be a simple girl having a simple family, simple boyfriend and simple love story. I am not ambitious lo.. hai.

oh ya.. that just reminded me, he's leaving again in less than 96 hours.

Am I a workaholic?

Twenty Questions: How Do I Know If I'm A Workaholic?

1.Do you get more excited about your work than about family or anything else?

2.Are there times when you can charge through your work and other times when you can't?

3.Do you take work with you to bed? On weekends? On vacation?

4.Is work the activity you like to do best and talk about most?

5.Do you work more than 40 hours a week?

6.Do you turn your hobbies into money-making ventures?

7.Do you take complete responsibility for the outcome of your work efforts?

8.Have your family or friends given up expecting you on time?

9.Do you take on extra work because you are concerned that it won't otherwise get done?

10.Do you underestimate how long a project will take and then rush to complete it?

11.Do you believe that it is okay to work long hours if you love what you are doing?

12.Do you get impatient with people who have other priorities besides work?

13.Are you afraid that if you don't work hard you will lose your job or be a failure?

14.Is the future a constant worry for you even when things are going very well?

15.Do you do things energetically and competitively including play?

16.Do you get irritated when people ask you to stop doing your work in order to do something else?

17.Have your long hours hurt your family or other relationships?

18.Do you think about your work while driving, falling asleep or when others are talking?

19.Do you work or read during meals?

20.Do you believe that more money will solve the other problems in your life?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

ALL ABOVE = NO NAH !! DUH. I GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO, or perhaps coz I don't really enjoy working in my team.

-.-"'

so, we were talking about engagement ring. diamond or no diamond? i like diamond because it seems like "a girl's thing", coz it's blink blink and so nice! and its like only the singaporean will go around hao lian-ing their diamond ring to ppl..yah, of coz if i have the bigger the better. and if i didnt get the best carat the best clarify how? sad la.... so.. should i put my expectation so high and may result in disappointment? or... should i get nice ring that i like, if I must have a ring or something with diamond.. i like cartier leh since i set my eye on it! hmmm if i lost the diamond and i will cry myself silly someday. And apparently, guys are stewpig. Proposal ring and wedding band is 2 different thing, how can 2 in 1? that's not fair lah. this kind of thing still can bargain meh? not like u go market to buy fish lo.. -.-"
Anyway, i did some research after pondering on what hunnie said abt expensive diamond rings.. out of curiosity though.. oohohoho here it is... BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN CAN BUY CHEAAPO RING LAAA!! HELLO!!!!!! how can just "cheat" her to get her to agree that is the engagement ring?? hahaha he better buy her a nice and "worth - her - whole - life" ring lah!!! RAWR..

Be enlightened. Get informed.

Worth-less
About 130 million carats (26,000 kg) are mined annually, with a total value of nearly USD $9 billion. Now if you do the math - that works out to be US$69.20 per carat! The prices of diamond is artificially controlled and inflated. Mined diamonds are bought by cartels and kept in vaults to control supply and keep prices high, in truth there is nothing rare or precious about the stones.

7 Reasons Why You Should NEVER Buy a Diamond:

1. The price of diamonds has been artificially inflated since the 1880's via the De Beers diamond cartel. Read this article by Edward Jay Epstein in the February 1982 issue of The Atlantic Monthly - www.theatlantic.com/doc/print/198202/diamond

2. Current public perception of diamonds is the direct result of a masterfully executed marketing campaign by De Beers that began in 1938, not inherent scarcity or value. If you've read the article by Edward Epstein (you really should), you know all of the gory details. Isn't it amazing (and scary) how brainwashed people are about the "value" of diamonds, even though they're not actually worth that much?

3. A diamond is an illiquid asset, not an "investment". Try to sell a second-hand diamond ring on eBay or at a pawn shop. Do you really think you'll get anything close to what you paid for it? Do you really think the price of any diamond you purchase today is going to go up significantly over time? A diamond ring isn't even a good "insurance policy" to fall back on during hard times - it's an illiquid asset that you'll have a hard time selling for a price anywhere close to what you paid for it.

4. The diamond industry funds warfare, genocide, and terrorism. A conflict diamond (also called a blood diamond or a war diamond) is a diamond mined in a war zone and sold, usually clandestinely, in order to finance an insurgent or invading army's war efforts. Profits from conflict diamonds are used to finance warlords in Angola, Sierra Leone, and Liberia, who use their weapons to kill and maim innocent people. You won't be able to tell if your diamond is a conflict diamond or not?

5. A diamond is - by nature - just a pretty rock. Think of the oft-quoted "rule" of diamond ring buying: the ring should cost a minimum of two month's salary (pre-tax), and you should spend as much on a ring as you can afford. Let's put this rule in its proper context: according to the people who sell pretty rocks, you're supposed to trade a full two months of your time and effort for one of their pretty rocks. Does that seem wise?

6. People notice the setting more than the diamond itself. To the naked human eye, most decent quality diamonds look the same. Unless the stone is yellow, has major inclusions, or has a distinctly lopsided cut, no one will be able to distinguish an ideal cut, E color, VS-1 stone from a lesser-quality diamond just by looking at it. What people do notice is the setting - how the stone is featured or placed, side stones, and the craftsmanship and artistry of the band. Knowing this - does it make more sense to focus your attention and dollars on a better stone, or on a better setting?

7. The opportunity cost of buying a diamond is huge. Opportunity cost is what you give up by spending your scarce resources on a single option. In other words, if you drop ten grand on a diamond ring, you have $10,000 less to spend on other things, like a fantastic honeymoon, a car, furniture, a down payment on a house, investing for the future, or further education. Are all of these options worth giving up for a little piece of colorless carbon?

Women will always be at the losing end. When we love too much, we are called stupid. When men love too much, they are called romantics. What does that leave us to feel? Really stupid.

We can always package ourselves to be the perfect one, fulfilling the roles to be everything to everyone. But at the end of it, if the person who matters most to you cannot see the person whom you ought to be, who you really are, who you live to be, then you have failed… Then, I have failed. Somewhere out there, there will always be someone telling me that I did not try hard enough.
